In 1945, during one of the many perennial wars that are chronically present in our daily lives as humans, the government of Mexico which for the most part remains neutral during those conflicts, somehow was convinced that the country had to participate in the war against Japan.
Be that as it may, a squadron of Mexican planes and pilots along with all its support were sent to the front. The squadron was called.
Escuadron 201
Among the members of that military group was a man A.B.
Who came from a beautiful town in South Central Mexico where my father used to have some coffee plantations.
The war ended and the Escuadron 201 returned to Mexico, the members of the group were welcomed by the President of the country and their performance was celebrated.
The President asked to some of the members whether there was a special request and that he would seriously consider it.
Indeed A.B., the man from the beautiful town, did ask for a school for his town. At that time there were no schools in the town.
The President offer was carried on and the first elementary school for the town was built, the name of the school is ESCUADRON 201.

I finished my elementary school education in the Escuadron 201 Elementary School
As it turns out A.B. the man that made possible the creation of the first elementary school, became the Major of the town.
And as such he would make the rounds around the town riding a beautiful horse.
Many times, the route that he followed passed right in front of our cafetal (coffee plantation) as I was walking to go to school. Several times he would lift me up from my arm and saddle me behind him and he would finish his round and drop me in front of the school which was and is, next door to the City Hall.
